Your home can be however you want it, classic, modern, traditional or contemporary but when spending money on an electric fireplace you are creating a feature that will bring your interior design together, therefore choosing the right electric fire suite is important.
Electric fireplaces can be designed in any style at all and many customers feel spoilt for choice when looking for a fireplace to complement their existing decorations or to pull together a new interior design look they are striving to achieve.
Modern and contemporary fireplaces are very fashionable at the moment, and if your home is a relatively new build or your decoration is in a more modern style then this could be for you. However, if your home has lots of older or original features such as a Georgian or Victorian build a modern fireplace may look out of place. Contemporary fireplaces are usually sleek in design and have a more minimalistic look, the glass front and fuel is often a feature in a variety of colours that wouldn’t necessarily look right against exposed wooden beams or Victorian features. However it looks amazing in a modern room, bringing the warmth of a real fire to a contemporary setting.
If you have an older property or prefer a more rustic and traditional look then classic fireplaces will work really well. Traditional fireplace suites will be a bit more ornate than a clean modern fire and you can choose from a number of finishes and colours. Some of the more classic fireplaces will work well in a modern home but if you have a very vintage looking home then a more ornate traditional look will suit you best.
False wall fireplaces
These have become really popular as they are quite easy to install compared to a wood burner or a gas fire, but free up a lot of space in a living area. A false wall fire are often part of a media suite and TV wall and create a stunning feature in any home. These look best in a more modern home and are safe and energy-efficient. The fire doesn’t take over the whole room so when it isn’t on it doesn’t take up valuable space but when it is switched on it creates a lovely atmosphere to cosy up and watch your favourite film or TV show.
